If your Rosacea is constantly flaring up, leaving you with red, bumpy skin, you may have already tried numerous types of medication with little success. Strella Aesthetics is here to help with our newly added laser Rosacea and Poikiloderma treatment. Our highly sophisticated laser can remove visible blood vessels and intense redness, without damaging surrounding tissues.

In a recent study, 75% of patients had a reduction in visible blood vessels, 55% had a reduction in flushing, and 50% had a reduction in redness. Typically, patients need to come back for three or more of these painless treatments, and some may experience redness or swelling in the first day. Since everybody’s skin is unique, and conditions can vary in intensity, it is important to talk to a specialist to learn more about treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions: Laser Rosacea Treatments

The underlying cause or causes of rosacea are not known. Whatever the root cause, Rosacea is characterized by flushing, redness and visible blood vessels. Rosacea is most common among fair-skinned women aged 30-50. Men, when affected, usually suffer more severe cases. Some evidence suggests that rosacea can be inherited.
If you have Rosacea, then laser or IPL treatment could make a significant difference to the redness of your skin. Every case is different, so we would recommend that you book an initial consultation so that we can assess your Rosacea and discuss your treatment options with you in detail.
Laser rosacea treatments do improve the cosmetic appearance of Rosacea, with periods of remission varying between one to five years or more. It is important to note that the cause of Rosacea is still unknown – therefore, the treatment is not well established, and your personal Rosacea treatment results may vary.
Improvement may continue for many weeks after the course has finished. Rosacea is a relapsing condition and, although this treatment improves the appearance, it does not cure the Rosacea. If you have active inflammatory Rosacea then this will need to be controlled with medication before you can have IPL or laser treatment.
