Turn Back Time With A Facelift From Philly’s Best

As we age the effects of gravity, exposure to the sun and the stresses of daily life begin to take their toll on our faces. Sagging skin and wrinkles can make you appear old, tired or sad even when you’re not. The loss of youthful contours in the midface, jaw line and neck can be due to heredity, gravity, environmental conditions and stress. A facelift eliminates excess fat, tightens the muscles beneath the skin and neck and removes any sagging skin, improving the most visible signs of aging.

A facelift is a surgical procedure designed to correct all of these aging features, restoring a more youthful, rested appearance. Rejuvenation procedures typically performed in conjunction with a facelift are brow lift, to correct a sagging or deeply furrowed brow, and eyelid surgery to rejuvenate aging eyes. If you are bothered by the signs of aging in your face, a facelift may be right for you. The best way to learn how a facelift can help meet your personal goals is to schedule a consultation here at Strella Aesthetics.

Sometimes in order to achieve your desired look, surgery is the best option. Our affiliation with the board-certified plastic surgeons at Kevitch, Chung & Jan gives you access to a full range of surgical solutions.

Frequently Asked Questions: Facelift

A facelift is a surgical procedure that corrects and improves several areas of the face and neck. The procedure elevates the midface (the cheeks), improves the lower face jowls, and defines the neck.
Sagging in the midface can create a deep crease below the lower eyelid, called a tear trough, and between the nose and mouth (nasolabial fold). Fat that has fallen or is displaced and loss of muscle tone in the lower face can create jowls, or a jaw line that sags into the neck. Loose skin and excess fatty deposits under the chin and jaw can even make a person of normal weight appear to have a double chin.
A facelift procedure can be performed with either IV sedation anesthesia or general anesthesia. An anesthesiologist will evaluate you and determine which is the safest anesthesia for you.
A typical facelift takes about 3 hours from start to finish, followed by a brief period for evaluation.
Most patients can return to normal activity, work, or school at fourteen days and are very presentable at this stage. Exercise can be resumed at three weeks after surgery.
The results will stay with you forever. But as you know, the aging process will not stop after a facelift. That being said, you will always look younger after your facelift than if you had never had one.
